Was this a bad tip for the lady who cut my hair?

i recently got a haircut. i went to a nice but affordable hair salon. the cut cost about $21.00. (i'm 14 and my mom pays) i didn't like the end product very much and my mom noticed. she gave me money to tip the hair stylist. it was $2.00. was that a bad tip even if i didn't like my hair when i left the salon?

Okay so first of all I am a hair stylist at a local hair salon and also the manager. I say that if you didn't like it the hair stylist should have offered to fix it like you wanted it for free.

Tips are hard to say an exact amount. They can be from $2 on up. Depends on how you like it and how well your service was.

Well hope I helped let me know if you have any other questions

If you don't think she did a good job, $2 was fine. If you really like it next time you can give a 20% tip ($4) which would be really good.

well it depends. you pay how you felt about her service. was it that you just didn't like the haircut on you? did you not communicate well what you wanted her to do? or did she just mess up...maybe get distracted?

if it was your fault then i guess that would still be fine, just tip more next time.

if you love it next time leave a tip of 6 or 7 dollars.

if you think she can fix what you dont like. you can go back to her and tell her. most hair stylist will do that free of charge because they know you are walking with an art that they did. i am a hair stylist and if you can back to me i would fix it.

i only tip the person who cuts my hair if i like what they have done with it if i like my hair i always tip no less than 5.00 after all they did do a good job on my hair
