i am SO tired of waiting for an appointment just for a trim. is there any way i can cut my hair on my own without it being uneven?

I cut my own hair on top, I have been for years b/c each time I go to the salon they cut it too short. I found you some sites, the second one has a lot of other cool tips too such as the best hairstyle for your face, etc.

Those web sites don't explain how to cut hair,especially layers, if you try to do what it says you will have a mess. There is no way someone can cut a straight line in the back if their hair is one length. Don't try it! Report It

Of course there is, you'd just have to be a good hair stylist yourself. Or you can try layering your hair, which would make mistakes look natural.

If all else fails, just get a bic razor and take it all off and throw on a wig. But shaved heads on girls looks kinda cool sometimes - Natatlie Portman - case in point.

Depends on what your style is - mine is long, layered and choppy, so I can get away with putting a ponytail on the top of my head, banded a few times as i go along the length and then cut off the end.

Get a book from the library on how to cut hair. Ask the librarian. It is pretty hard to cut your own hair. It tends to get short on one side and you even it out and it's short on the other side. You end up with tiny bangs too short, hair too short, and looking rather odd. If you are determined to do your own, you can tape the ends and cut above the tape. Really, though, I learned the hard way that even a trim is better left to the professionals.
