How should i get my hair cut?

right now my hair is long, curly, thick..but its majorly frizzy if i dont take forever in the morning to tame it. Are there any stylish hair cuts out their right now that would work on my hair? I want to keep it on the longer side so my hair doesnt take the "christmas tree effect" look. Any ideas? thanks so much.

Hey girl-

If you want to keep the length of your hair just ask your stylist to thin your hair out and add in long layers. This will reduce the christmas tree look and add more movement in your hair. Also use styling creams that will cut the drying time on your hair, Fekkai glossing cream is a great one! I

my wife has long brown natural curly hair....sometimes she goes to the salon and gets it straightened... looks nice and its a nice change for her while it lasts

Have you ever considered going for a dramatic change? If so, instead of cutting your hair you should try getting a japanese straight perm. Its a method of hair straightening with less damage than regular relaxing techniques. Find an experienced salon near you.

layering to take out some of the thickness %26amp; some John Frieda anti-frizz serum ought to help you out.

but be CAREFUL about how you do your layering! because with mildly curly to very curly hair,it can curl up MORE without the weight (from the rest of your hair) on the ends! TALK IT OVER WITH SOMEONE WHO KNOWS HAIR.

You could try some long layers to get rid of some of the ends that are probably dead and causing a lot of the frizz. then you could use a straightening balm when it is wet and allow it to dry either scrunchy, or you can then section it and take small sections and flat iron or curl it with a big 2 inch iron. If you want to be bothered you could also use a large thermal brush (round) to dry it. You would still have to section it and take small sections working like you would to straighten it from the underneath up. Go to a salon, get the layers, and have them show you how to style it step by step. Then all you have to do is practice.

because your hair is curly and thick definitely don't cut it short I suggest you cut it to 4 inches pass your shoulder and no shorter. To get rid of the frizz and make it a little more tamed used a relaxer to calm it down but don't leave it in for two long. It will absolutely look gorgeous...
