i always cut my own hair. its not very difficult, you just envision what you want and cut! i recommed cutting everything a little longer than you want it the first time, just in case you make a mistake, then when you know its what you want trim it to the length you really wanted.

the back is kin of tricky, get a large hand mirror and stand in front of another mirror. if possible, have someone else hold the hand mirror, otherwise... well, its harder.

I cut my own hair, it's easy! To get subtle layers I bend over at the waist turning myself upside down. Comb or brush your hair straight down towards the floor. Gather it into one hand and with the other cut it off at the ends. Make sure you have brushed it evenly. I would recommend no more than 1-2 inches the first time to see if that is a good length for you. With bangs, always start with a little hair. you don't want to take off to much. You don't want big chunky bangs. Good luck!
