What would happen if i had never cut my hair?

I am a 29 yr old guy and im growing my hair out long for the first time in my life. Im just wondering how long my hair would be now if i had never had it cut? I would like to grow my hair to atleast the middle of my back. My final hair length goal would be classic length (below my butt). How long will it take me to acheive my first goal? My hair is shirt collar length now.

If you did not cut your hair it would eventually reach a point where it would stop growing. During college I let my hair grow, only having it trimmed every 6 months. When it started getting stuck in my waistband I decided that was long enough. How long your hair will continue to grow is somewhat dependent on your genetics, and how well you take care of your hair.

You can measure how long you would like your hair to be, and double that figure to arrive at how many months it will take your hair to reach that length. On average a person's hair grows about 1/2" a month.

Hair grows 1/2 in per month.

It depends how tall you are. It take .5 inches for hair to grow in a month. If you NEVER cut your hair, you'd have really horrible split ends and you have to get them all chopped of unless you liked having your hair feel like straw. hoped this helped.

EDIT: It would take you give or take about 3.7- 4 years to grow your hair to the middle of you back.

Ew.

i'm sorry, I just hate it when guys have long hair.

Anyways, trim it a little once a week or two weeks. It'll help it grow faster.

Don't grow your hair that long...please. It's gross. It gets really nasty. I dated a guy with hair that long and...well it was longer than mine, how do YOU imagine I felt? Anyway, MY hair grows about one inch a month, but I hear that's pretty fast for hair. The average is a half-inch a month. So do the math. It'll probably take about a year or two...and you MUST cut your hair, so it'll take a bit longer.

What would happen if i had never cut my hair?

Two to three months.

You will probably have to trim it every 6 months or so. When it starts to feel dry and unmanageable you will need to take an inch or so off. Keep massaging your scalp, using good conditioners and your hair will grow really quickly.

Hair, except in rare cases, when it is growing at its optimal genetic rate - will only grow 6-8 inches per year.

Measure how many inches there are between your actual lenght and the middle of your back. Multiply that number by 12 (a year) and divide it into 8 (inches per year). You'll get how many months it will take your hair to get to your middle back :)

Hope that helped! Cheersss! ;)

Let it grow that length then give it to locks of love it will make wigs for kids %26amp; people who have lost there hair.

I saw it on the Maury show

hair grows 6 inches a year. but every person genetically has a length where their hair stops growing...it could be anywhere from your shoulders to your feet, so keep that in mind. if you are careful with your hair you can get it trimmed every 8-12 weeks to keep it healthy...but dont wait any longer. u just have to have patience. whatever you do dont stop trimming it...it can stunt hair growth and make it look nasty...good luck :)

Okay Well if you NEVER cut your hair it would be all ratty and tangly and knotty and you will have split ends. trust me, I'm a girl.

So Having your hair collar length is a good start. You need to have it cut once every 4 - 6 weeks , but not proper cut, just have the ends trimmed so it doesn't get split. You have to make sure when you shampoo it and condition you have to do it thouroghly. Good Luck! x

1/1 per month

approximately 6 inches in a year

When I had extensions hair past my shoulders was 14+ inches.

Hair that hits your hips could be twice that amount.

You could expect four years or so to reach that goal. Maybe three years for your hair to hit right at the middle of your back.

(Varies depending on natural hair growth)

I would definitely recommend taking vitamins to promote faster hair growth.

Anything with milk thistle, folic acid is good. I know many woman take Biotin, but I advise you consult your pharmacist before taking anything.

Good luck! :)

*Average* growth is about 1/2 inch a month, but yours could be faster or slower. (Mine's faster.)

One thing you'll need to do is keep it in top condition. Split ends will "stop" growth when you have so many that the hair breaks off at about the same rate it grows. (Not to mention that they're unattractive.)

Use a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. Use a deep treatment conditioner at least once a month. Never yank at tangles. (De-tangle by brushing starting from the ends, then moving up and up.) At least 4 times a year, trim the hair by at least 1/2 inch to remove split ends.

BTW, for every female who hates long hair, there are others who love it. It's especially attractive in juxtaposition with dressed-up clothes, like a suit. Yum! (Yeah, I'm too old for you, but my daughter isn't.)

Nothing personal dude, but that would be gross.

Personally, I like my men shaved completely bald.
