From a daughters point of view: I lived all my life with extremely long hair(40something inches), never one my mom let me cut it, only the tips... At age 10, I was tired of it. I begged my mom and she finally let me. I was a little bit sad to let my hair go to waste, but then I realized I could donate it to make wigs for people who had cancer. My hair was easy to manage, I could wash it by myself, and it was cuter.Conclusion: Let her. It will make her life easier.

um is it longer now?? i think it would be harder for her now when its longer, than having it shorter after she gets it cut....when they are younger i think its usually best parents cut it pretty short so its managable for them.

She should learn how to brush it right too!Just help her everyday in front of the mirror and she''ll learn to do it right. Hey, your like my mom!

i had long straight dark brown hair, that was beautifully healthy, which had to be down to my but.

But hey i'm a 13 year old, changing is needed.

It get's annoying as you grow, i would think.

Out of know where, one day i came home from school and begged my mother to take me to get a haircut, and believe it or not she agreed to let me cut 6 inches off my hair.

I love my hair, now and i added side bangs and a whole new look.

Sometimes you just need to take a deep breath and listen to your daughter, she may have some wonderful ideas (:

no matter how the haircut is, i'm sure it'll look great.
