Side swept bangs look good also. They're softer. Tyra has an oval face and her bangs cover her forehead. You may find that dramatic of a bang may make your face appear too small.

It is a simple bob and if your hairdresser is doing her job correctly she'll maake it perfect. Also say you want a side swept bangs and layers. If you want the curly look then just curl it with a curling iron.

To get those waves, you'd just use a fatter curling iron. I was always afraid of chopping off my hair because i have a ovalish-round face as well, but once I got it done, it actually looked cute... but only sometimes, when i actually straightened/curled it. You should cut your hair if you're willing to style it every single day, or else there will be many bad hair days to be seen in your future. Or if you don't feel like styling it that day, just put it up. Short ponytails are always cute.

First you'd need a good cut (bring the picture with you) - to style, I'd say to put your products in, then get it mostly dry. Then use some velcro rollers to get some volume and a little curl. Take the rollers out when your hair is dry and give it a shake.

I don't know like, what your hair is exactly like, but, i've never thought that curls work well with a short haircut, because i mean, if you have a bad hair day, you might be out of luck. However, if ur hair is curly and u want a short hair cut, try flatironing it regularly to keep it maintained. Pixie cut is like, ellen degeneres style, and those styles work best with straight hair.

yes, you definitely can still donate. They will take the layers and sell whatever extra pieces don't measure 10 inches to independent wig makers. They say it is to help offset their own costs rather than just throwing the extra hair out. They didn't used to take permed or colored hair but they do now, according to their website....good luck!

My advice would be to go onto their website which I would assume would be www.lockoflove.com and look at their limitations on the hair. I know that the hair can't be colored a crazy color or several colors but it can be colored as long as it is virgin hair and has to be 6-10 inches in length.

I went to a salon and I told the haircutter to cut my bangs to my eyebrows, but instead they cut it to my nose and I told them to layer it and instead they chopped it. I showed them a picture, but the still did what they wanted.I didn't want it cut to my nose because I can't see! Why do haircutters do what they want?

Usually the hairdresser will take what you've said and work around it, suiting it to you more. My hairdresser will normally just use what I want as a template and the overall outcome is a lot better than what I wanted initially.

That's funny, I didn't know I had another brother! Mom's in her 80s and we still go through this. Sometimes I let her go ahead so that she doesn't keep fussing at me, and I just try to block out the frequent "oops!" and "maybe if I do this.." noises from behind me. If I made an error, I went ball for a couple of weeks but that's better than having a hairline that's in the middle of your skull. Tell her that gets harass you and since your older, you feel you can either go to the barber or cut you own hair, on your own without Mommy's help. if you're the baby, she's just having a hard time seeing her baby grow up and here's a clue, she will ALWAYS want to mother you, it's up to you if you allow it or not. I've never heard either, but can you imagine the PAIN and AGONY off pulling nose hairs? ouch!!! I'd just cut it and when it comes back cut it again. Don't they make special trimmers for that... you just do it while you are doing your other business... brush teeth, wash face, trim nose hairs... etc etc..

Usually people bring a picture of what they want their hair to look like. To me, I layer my hair because it is pretty long. Don't be too scared to try out new things. Just tell the person who is cutting your hair to trim it a little bit, and often give him/her directions on which parts to trim. If they mess up, then don't worry. Just remember it will grow back. :)

My family is multicultural and multidenominational. However, I embrace Christianity as my religion. I'm a good Christian..well that's another topic that I won't get into but I try to be..to the best of my ability. My maternal fam is African American and Irish. My paternal is African American and Native American.

My grandfather is a first generation Native and he embraces tribal customs and so did my father. My father passed away. Valentine's Day will mark one year. It is my grandfather's tribal custom that after a year of mouring the lost of a loved one you are to cut your hair as a symbolic freeing of that person so that they may pass to the after life with out any ties to this one. He expects me to participate.I have long waist length layered hair that I love and want to keep. He's not expecting a trim..he wants me to go chin length!!! What would you do? I don't want to hurt his feelings.

If you embrace your grandfather's tribal customs I think you should do it. It is the right thing to do and your hair will grow back. If you do cut it I do not think you should donate it. Many tribal people believe that your hair is an extension of yourself, literally, and who knows what others might do to it. Tribal customs are not ones that you can pick and choose if you like them or not. They are what they are. You either follow them or you don't. It would be very respectful to both your grandfather and your father to cut your hair.

I do not believe we honor others by carrying out actions which are hollow in our belief structure. People who do that, in catholic sacramentals at least, are guilty of sacrilage and it's a slap in the face rather than a respect. Me personally...I have waist length hair that I can't wait to cut come this spring. Because it's getting to be a bit much (very thick) and starting to drive me crazy, but it's also been somewhat like a record of the well, length, of time that someone has been gone...and looking forward to ridding my hair of being symbolic of that. no don't cut the layers too short...once u cut em you can't take it back...instead get a trim and get it angled ....where they cut your hair at a 45 degree angle....facing down....that would give you a posh spice look...don't let them stack it in the back just get some cool angles near ur face...i can't see ur myspace pics but i see ur yahoo pic ur hair is cool...keep the color u have its cute

depends on how long you want it to stich out when you spike it, i do my brothers hair and they all have emo hair of some sort, if you want to be able to leave it down i would say about 2 1/2 inches but if you want it to stick out on its own more like1 1/2 inches, the easest way to spike it is with hairspray, its fast and easy as long as your hair isnt too thick, just spray some hairspray on it, spike it up with your hainds and then blow dry it for a minute so the hairspray will dry and your done, if you hair is thicker try some hair wax or mouse, gel leaves your hair really heavy and un natural looking, i find that hairspary mouse and wax look the best, and wax is good if you lay down and your hair gets flsttened, beacause then you can spike it back up again

i am sick of my hair. It is just curly and i really can only wear it in a ponytail and I am sick of it. I have hair down to about my shoulders, it is thick and curly, and it is a darker brown. I will be getting a straightener soon. I found a few cuts that I like but want your opinion. If you know of other cuts I would like you to share them with me. Depending on which way you want them to fall cut from top of bang to be area down on an angle, but just brush cut the hair and glide the scissors down on the angle - do as many times as you need to, to get the right look and only start as high as you want the shortest piece to be.
